MTW 

Marie-Therese Walker is an award winning Goldsmith and Designer who specialises in one-off commissions. The jewellery is handmade using traditional techniques by Marie-Therese Walker in her workshop. Her work is created using precious metals and carefully selected precious and semi-precious gemstones. MTW also creates a number of limited edition ranges which are for sale at her workshop and online.

My Story

Marie-Therese has always had a passion for the crafts. She spent many summers of her teenage and college years working in the Pine Forest Art and Craft Centre, Glencullen, Co. Dublin where she taught children and young adults all forms of craft and design skills. On attending the National College of Art and Design she obtained a 1st class degree in design specialising in Metals, with her note worthy collection "Wear me, See me, Play me".  After college, she travelled to New Zealand and gained invaluable work experience with goldsmith Peter Deckers and with enamalist Sally Laing in Taranaki. MTW returned home to Ireland and moved to Kilkenny to continue her training in the D.C.C.O.I.  Goldsmithing and Jewellery Skills course.  She worked with J.M.K. Goldsmiths for 12 years, while also establishing her own workshop and brand in Kilkenny. In 2017 MTW established her new workshop in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
